Slice of Paris

Who would have thought one would fine a slice of Paris in Peapack, NJ?! Well, good news...the adorable CocoLuxe is just that. Its French themed decor (French posters on the walls, little antique crystal chandeliers scattered throughout the room, the black and white striped awning that greets you, the toile bathroom walls) makes me want to slap on a beret and shout “ooh la la.”

The tiny cafe seats only about 20 people in total at small round tables. It’s a place you could easily while away the morning sipping coffee, reading the paper and eating chocolate croissants or cinnamon pecan scones. We visited the adorable shop for lunch and found a menu full of tempting sandwiches (like brie and arugula with raspberry compote on a baguette), homemade soups, savory scones, and quiches. You could top it all off with a brownie or something from the darling dessert case filled with luscious treats.

My lunch of pea soup and a savory scone with cheese, bacon and scallion suited me just fine. I had fun living the manored life for one afternoon at this little shop with its undeniable chic European influence located in Jersey horse country!
